Generate graphics automatically from Typeform submissions
Connect your Typeform account, pick the form, and every submission renders on its own — Drawtab creates the webhook and its signing secret for you. Answers arrive keyed by the question itself rather than by position, so your mapping survives form edits.
What sets it off
Someone completes the Typeform you connected.
What you get
- Certificates of completion
- Event passes
- Welcome cards
- Personalised offers
Setting it up
One-time setup. After this it runs on its own.
Create a Typeform pipeline
Pick Typeform in Drawtab Pipelines and choose the template each submission should render into.
Connect your Typeform account
Press Connect Typeform account and approve access in the Typeform window.
Pick your form
Search your forms and choose one. When you create the pipeline, Drawtab registers a signed webhook on that form — there’s no URL or secret to copy.
Map answers to your template
Use paths like answers.full_name — the Sample Payload inspector lists every question in your form as a clickable path.
What you can put on the graphic
These are the paths you type into a template hotspot. Once a pipeline has received its first real record, the Sample Payload inspector shows your own data and you can click a value to fill the field.
| Field path | What it holds |
|---|---|
answers.name | Auto-detected name answer — always present |
answers.email | Auto-detected email answer — always present |
answers.<question_title> | Any answer, keyed by a slug of its question text |
answers_by_ref.<ref> | The same answer keyed by Typeform’s stable field ref |
form_response.token | Unique response ID — good QR content |
form_response.hidden.<key> | Hidden fields passed in the form URL |
How Drawtab knows the data is real
When Drawtab registers the webhook it also generates a signing secret, so every delivery arrives with a Typeform-Signature header — a base64 HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body. Drawtab verifies it over the exact bytes received, so an altered or forged payload is rejected before anything renders.
Drawtab creates the signed webhook on your form when you connect, stores access tokens encrypted, and removes the webhook when you disconnect.
Common questions
What happens if I reorder my questions?
Nothing breaks. Answers are keyed by question rather than position, which is the main reason to use this integration over a generic webhook.
Do I still need to add the webhook in Typeform myself?
No. Drawtab creates it through your connected account. Pipelines set up by hand with a pasted secret keep working, and connecting the account later switches them over.
How are multiple-choice answers handled?
Single choices resolve to the option label, and multi-selects are joined into a readable list — you never end up with a raw option ID printed on the graphic.
Can I use file uploads from the form?
Yes. A file upload answer resolves to its URL, so you can map it straight to an image hotspot for headshots.
