Generate graphics automatically from Google Sheets
Connect your Google account, choose the spreadsheet and tab, and Drawtab watches it for you. Every new row becomes a finished graphic within a few minutes of being added — no Apps Script, no webhooks, and no access to anything in your Drive except the files you pick.
What sets it off
A new row is added to the sheet and tab you connected.
What you get
- Certificates
- Name badges
- Bulk personalised graphics
- Report cards
Setting it up
One-time setup. After this it runs on its own.
Create a Google Sheets pipeline
Pick Google Sheets in Drawtab Pipelines and choose your template.
Connect your Google account
Press Connect Google account and approve access. Drawtab only gets the files you choose — it can’t see the rest of your Drive.
Choose your spreadsheet and tab
Pick the spreadsheet in Google’s file picker, then the tab. If the tab already has rows, decide whether to render them too or only rows added from now on.
Map your column headers
Row 1 holds your column names. Each one appears in Hotspot Mapping, so a Name column maps straight to a text hotspot.
What you can put on the graphic
These are the paths you type into a template hotspot. Once a pipeline has received its first real record, the Sample Payload inspector shows your own data and you can click a value to fill the field.
| Field path | What it holds |
|---|---|
Name | From a column headed “Name” |
Email | From a column headed “Email” — used for delivery |
<Your Column Header> | Every column, keyed by its header in row 1 |
How Drawtab knows the data is real
There’s no webhook to forge. Drawtab reads new rows straight from the Google Sheets API using your connected account, checking every few minutes. A row that’s missing a mapped value waits until it’s filled in, and each row is fingerprinted so it renders exactly once.
Access is limited to the spreadsheets you pick. Tokens are stored encrypted, and disconnecting stops syncing and revokes Drawtab’s access to your Google account.
Common questions
Do I still need the Apps Script?
No. Connecting your Google account replaces it — there’s nothing to paste into your sheet and no trigger to maintain.
How quickly does a new row render?
Drawtab checks your sheet every few minutes. If you don’t want to wait, press Sync now in the pipeline to check straight away.
What about rows that are already in the sheet?
You choose when you set up the pipeline: render the existing rows too, or only rows added from then on. You can also render skipped rows later from the pipeline.
Can Drawtab see my other Google Drive files?
No. Drawtab uses Google’s file-level access, so it can only open the spreadsheets you select in the picker.
Do I need a paid Google Workspace account?
No. It works with free Google accounts too.
