Generate employee celebration graphics from BambooHR
Nobody should be the person who remembers everyone’s work anniversary. BambooHR already knows — Drawtab turns each milestone into a branded celebration card and posts it where your team will see it.
What sets it off
An employee record changes in BambooHR — a hire, a promotion, an anniversary.
What you get
- Work anniversary cards
- New hire announcements
- Promotion graphics
- Team celebration posts
Setting it up
One-time setup. After this it runs on its own.
Create a BambooHR pipeline
Pick BambooHR in Drawtab Pipelines and choose your celebration template.
Connect your API key and domain
Paste your BambooHR API key and your company domain — the “yourcompany” part of yourcompany.bamboohr.com.
Add the webhook in BambooHR
Create a webhook in BambooHR pointing at the pipeline’s trigger URL, subscribed to the fields you care about.
What you can put on the graphic
These are the paths you type into a template hotspot. Once a pipeline has received its first real record, the Sample Payload inspector shows your own data and you can click a value to fill the field.
| Field path | What it holds |
|---|---|
displayName | Employee’s display name |
firstName | First name only |
workEmail | Work email — used for delivery |
jobTitle | Their job title |
department | Their department |
photoUrl | Their BambooHR photo, ready for an image hotspot |
How Drawtab knows the data is real
BambooHR’s webhook sends only an employee ID, never the record itself. Drawtab verifies the notification signature where one is configured, then fetches the full employee record from BambooHR’s API using your key — so the name and photo on the graphic come from BambooHR, not from the request.
Every pipeline also has its own secret trigger URL, which can be rotated at any time without touching your template or mappings.
Common questions
Where does the finished graphic go?
Wherever you point the pipeline’s delivery settings — a Slack channel, an email address, or a forwarding webhook into your own system.
Is employee data stored by Drawtab?
The rendered graphic is stored so you can retrieve it. The fetched employee record is used for that render and is not kept as a separate copy.
